Zulay Shenao was born in Colombia and is an American-born Colombian actor. Her most well-known part was as Esperanza for the Oprah Winfrey Network series 'If loving you is wrong'. Her other credits include acting in several films such as "Illegal Tender," "Takers and "Boy Wonder" and "True The Memoirs Of An International Assassin'. The year 2004 was the year that she and her family relocated to USA to escape Medellin Antioquia which is located in Colombia. She went to Methodist College at Fort Bragg in North Carolina while serving three years with the U.S. Army. After high school, Henao attended the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. On a personal note, the beautiful and talented actress is now dating American Model Joel Rush. The actress was previously engaged to the actor Terrace Howard. Henao has a very close relationship with her family, and she considers them to as a top priority.
